Why not see if your child has a big interest in it from now? You never know what might be sparked in them. Python is consistently ranked as one of the best programming languages in the world. It’s powerful, easy to use, and unlocks a wide range of opportunities. More importantly though, it’s fun!

In this course, we will be introducing students to foundational concepts of programming such as variables, conditional logic, loops, functions, and so much more. The course will be taught in groups of no more than 5 students, and will meet twice per week. Each session will include live coding sessions on our partnering platform Grader Than where students have the ability to experiment and explore coding on their own machine. Grader Than utilizes virtual machines to ensure that you can program from just about any device.

The course will conclude with a fun project. Students will be able to build their own take on the classic game Pong.
At the end of this course, students will have a concrete understanding of the basics of programming, python syntax, and game and application design.
